Question #1: What should I do when I have been in an accident?
Answer: Here are some important things you should do: 1. Call the Police to report the accident and any serious injuries 2. Politely obtain the insurance information from all vehicles involved 3. Take pictures of the vehicles involved and the scene of the accident 4. Cooperate with the investigating officer and give an accurate and detailed description of how the accident occurred 5. Describe in detail to the investigating officer all injuries and any pain you are suffering 6. If you are seriously injured or feel the need for immediate medical attention, tell the police you need an ambulance. 7. Locate any witnesses who saw the accident occur. 8. Call Hatch Injury Law as soon as you can to obtain accurate, thorough and tailored advice for your particular accident.
Question #2: How long does this process take?
Answer: It’s a great question and one we hear often. Because there are so many variables involved, we can’t give an exact timeline, but generally speaking, you will see progress within weeks of us taking your claim. We will communicate with the insurance companies involved which will allow you to focus on feeling better. Call me if you want to discuss the details of your claim and to receive tailored legal advice.
Questions #3: How much is this going to cost me?
Answer: Not one cent. We take your case on a contingency fee basis. What that means is that we do not receive any payment unless you get paid.
Questions #4: Will I have to pay for my own medical expenses that were the result of the injury?
Answer: For the most part, no. Many medical providers upon learning your injuries resulted from an auto accident will not demand payment immediately. Hatch Injury Law will work with your medical providers keeping them updated on your claim so they know they will be paid upon your claims resolution out of the funds you received from your claim.
